The Swamp Rabbit Trail is a 13.55 mile biking/walking trail that runs from downtown Greenville, SC to downtown Travelers Rest, SC.  The entire trail is paved asphalt and a portion of the trail has a rubberized surface for runners/walkers.  There is no cost to use the trail. In Travelers Rest, SC there is an outfitter named Sunrift Adventures that rents bikes.  A bike shop in Greenville, SC named Sunshine Cycle also rents bikes for the day but it is not located near the trail, so you would need to transport the bike to the trail.

In addition to the rental options listed above, there is also a dedicated bicycle rental business called Reedy Rides located just off Main Street. They offer in-store bike pickup but they also deliver to any downtown hotels or to the swamp rabbit trail.

Bike The Rabbit is also a new mobile Bicycle Rental service in Grenville. They specialize in delivering bikes to any location including hotels, parks or anywhere on The Swamp Rabbit Trail.

The trail crosses several busy roads and so it is not advisable for children to ride alone without adult supervision.  The Greenville Police Dept. as well as the Travelers Rest Police Dept. both have officers which patrol the trail.
