Although Hardeeville may be small, it is excellently situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the U.S.  Within an hour's drive, visitors to the area can be soaking up the sun on the beaches of Hunting Island or Hilton Head Island; experiencing the beautiful and historic downtowns of Savannah, Beaufort, and Bluffton; playing world-class golf courses on Hilton Head, Fripp Island, Skidaway Island; or just relaxing anywhere in between.  Visitors can also learn about old Purrysburg, one of the oldest "ghost settlements" in the state as well as take nature excursions into the nearby Savannah River Wildlife Refuge.

Hardeeville itself has several festivals around the year to keep visitors and residents entertained.  The annual Celebrate Hardeeville Festival in October draws regional crowds to town, with live music, a car show, and fun and games for all ages.  Sporting festivals make use of Hardeeville's recreational complex, located in the heart of town behind city hall.  Additional activities and events will be planned for the future, especially as the community grows over the coming years.
