At the foot of Lookout Mountain, at the lower end of the incline you will find a very small town named St. Elmo. Its history dates to before the Civil War. There are at least 7 lunch places in St. Elmo. Start at the top of the mountain and ride the incline down, do lunch, ride back up and finish your visit to the other attractions. There is a Korean place, a gourmet hot dog place, a California style taco and burrito place, a great pizza place, an awesome burger stand, and more just walking distance from the bottom end of the incline. Most of these places serve ice cream a well. The list of restaurants is listed below.
