Nashville is an active town for sports, from spectator sports to outdoor activities. Numerous fishing and golf options can be found throughout the region, and other activities on area lakes include jet ski rentals, swimming, kayaking and canoeing, and much more.  Various whitewater rafting opportunities can also be found in Tennessee, especially in the region around the Smoky Mountains.
