Rock of Ages Granite Quarry - Barre is one of the United State's largest granite mines. You can take a tour and/or visit the gift shop. It's a nice way to spend an hour or two and is very interesting.

 Hope Cemetery - Many of Barre's original granite carvers are buried here. The gravestones are gorgeous sculptures. It is located on Route 14 between Barre and East Montpelier.
