The newly expanded Burlington International Airport (BTV) is about 10 minutes from Lake Champlain, and within an hour to several of the area’s foremost ski resorts. Numerous major carriers, including United/Continental, USAirways, Delta/Northwest and JetBlue provide service to the Burlington airport with direct flights from across the Eastern seaboard of the United States and Canada. JetBlue also offers nonstop service to/from Orlando, FL.

The airport Web site provides daily schedules with flight departure and arrival times, as well as information and tips for travelers visiting BTV. The airport offers food and other light shopping, as well as Internet access for travelers.

Burlington International Airport is just off Interstate 89 and is close to destinations throughout Vermont, and is centrally located in New England for travelers with destinations in New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. The airport offers service counters for rental car services including Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, Alamo and National. Additionally, cabs and buses are also available to take you to your destination.

By car the Burlington area is about two hours from Montreal and travelers can head south to I-89. From New York City the drive is six hours and travelers should take I-87 to NYS Rte. 149, which connects to U.S. 4, to reach Burlington. From Boston I-93 to I-89 should you to the area in about three and a half hours.
