Palma Nova has a vast  number of shops that in summer stay open very late in to the nite. There are shops that do wines and spirits aimed at the tourists for taking home. The same applies to tobacco shops selling mainly for the tourist trade. Shoe shops sell some fine leather shoes for a great price and there are the shops selling sportswear, football shirts, etc., and shops selling the usual novelty nick nacks.

For people who go self-catering there is more than enough little and also a couple of large supermarkets in the Palma Nova area. Dotted around the resort are a few little spar supermarkets selling everything you will ever need. At the marina end is a street that leads you out of Palma Nova, Avida de la Playa. On that street is an eroski supermarket and its used by locals and is a lot cheaper than the spar stores in resort. Also just out of Palma Nova in Son Caliu is the Mercadonna Supermarket - a massive store selling everything and anything at very reasonable prices.

There are numerous bars and clubs in Palma Nova; also little cafe/bars where you can spend the nite people watching. There are bars that have discos some have live acts and some just show all the football and soaps from the UK  - there is some thing for everyone's taste.

In the height of the summer season, little night markets pop up along the seafront; they're not big, maybe 3-4 stalls selling craft goods, doing hair braiding and painting spray pictures. Also "statues" make appearances - put some spare euros in their box and they will always do a little trick for you.

Don't forget most hotels allow non-residents into their bars and some hotels have good entertainment on at night.
