The 3 mile-long Boardalk is just beautiful. From sunrise to sunset there is something going on. The beach is right there, and you'll find two amusement parks and bike rentals, as well as fishing off the pier. Two museums chronicling Virginia Beach are to be found: one at 12th Street (The Atlantic Wildfowl and Heritage Museum) and the other at 24th Street (The Coast Guard Museum). There are also lots of options for dining and hotels all along the way.  Adjacent to the Boardwalk is a bike trail.
