Green Bay is located in northern
Wisconsin, and so because of this it can get quite cold in the winter. During the summer, however, the temperature is warm but not overbearingly hot, which makes for a very pleasant atmosphere. Because Green Bay is located close to the Great Lakes, it does experience some of their effects. However, this doesn't result in enormous snow storms. During the winter, it can snow for several days in a row, but it doesn't accumulate to great amounts. Also, the system the city uses for plowing is very effective, and this allows for traffic and business to continue as usual. If you visit during the fall and winter, you will be able to watch football in the city, which is a great thrill. Everyone in the city comes together on Sunday afternoons, and when the Packers score, you can hear the entire city errupt at the same time. Green Bay is considered a frozen tundra, and it does get extremely cold. However, this doesn't keep the locals from getting out and living their lives. There are plenty of things to do in the winter, including skating and playing hockey. However, if you visit during the warmer months, you can go to the amusement parks, and you can stay out later and go for walks in the city, which is a nice thing to do with friends or family.
