The Dells caters to family vacationers.  Not only are there quite a few large resorts with massive waterparks such as Kalahari, Great Wolf Lodge, Treasure Island and the Wilderness; but even the smaller hotels have numerous indoor and outdoor pools for year round enjoyment.  There are also some combination theme park/waterparks within the Dells that provide miles of family entertainment. Three that come to mind are Riverview Park, Noah’s Ark and Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park.

When you’ve had enough of the water, you should have no problem finding more attractions and activities the whole family will enjoy.  You’ll find elaborate mini golf courses like Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf with five different 18 hole golf courses.  Even families with very small children will enjoy the Wisconsin Deer Park, where the deer roam free in the park and are so tame that your children can pet and feed them.  Timbavati Wildlife Park at Storybook Gardens is also a favorite of children with everything from animal shows to camel rides.

There are at least two Horseback Riding Trails to enjoy at the Dells; Canyon Creek and Red Ranch Riding Stables.  There are several scenic boat tours to choose from, touring different areas of the lakes, or try Lake Delton Watersports where you can rent your own boat or jetski by the hour.  Enjoy all the wonderful shops as you stroll downtown with your children and  where you can enjoy even more activities...Lazer Tag, Game Arcades or Bowling...if you still have the energy!  If you get a chance, your family might enjoy the Big Sky Drive In - with first run movies shown on each screen all summer.  There aren’t many of those outdoor movie theaters around anymore!

On rainy or winter days, families can also enjoy Tommy Bartlett’s Exploratory with hundreds of educational interactive exhibits, or the "Paint It" pottery shop, where your children can choose and paint their own special soveniers.

These are just a few ideas of the many, many family attractions at the Wisconsin Dells.  Whether you bring your children for a weekend or a long vacation; you’re sure to all have a fun and memorable visit.
