The Oceanarium is a unique experience.  Lobstering is the lifeblood of coastal Maine, and (besides growing baby lobsters from eggs to a size that can be released to the sea) the mysteries of the lobster as an animal are entertainingly told here in talks and exhibits.  There is nothing else quite like it, and the Oceanarium is well worth your visit, and NOT to be missed. The Oceanarium participates in an internship program, educating students while teaching them to teach others. So each year you are greated by all new staff with a fresh view for the experiance. It includes a marsh walk for part of the summer, touch tanks, a musuem, and a hatchery depending on staffing and weather.
