The Museum of Arts & Design has moved to a newly renovated building on Columbus Circle. The floors are on the small side for square footage but they have really planned pretty well and the exhibition is first rate. Possibly the restaurant is only open during the summer but should have a sweeping view of the park and Columbus Circle.

Gift shop has a good selection of intersting things and is open days when the museum is not. There is a lot of security which can seem overbearing since there really are few open spaces for the guards to spread out.

Tip:This is certainly not a stop that stands on it's own, not enough to see. Plan in conjunction with something else to pass a half day. All in all worth a stop if you are in the area and want to stretch a day or do something before leaving.
