The Jewish Museum of Baltimore encompasses two historic synagogues, the classical Lloyd Street synagogue (third oldest in the US) and the ornate Moorish style Bnai Israel still is active use, and an excellent collection of regional Jewish historical documents and artifacts that are presented in rotating exhibits mounted by museum staff. The museum has received numerous awards and is located within walking distance of Baltimore's Inner Harbor. A number of good Jewish delis, Attman's being the most well known, are located nearby. Definitely worth a visit if you are coming to the City and have an interest in Jewish history. Closed Saturday.
