Once the leaves have fallen, from the Brooklyn Mirador in Prospect Park, you can see the Empire State Building perfectly framed within the opening of Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch in Grand Army Plaza, a distance of greater than 5 miles.  The Tower was dedicated in 1931, the Arch in 1892, and the Mirador was completed in 1970.  Not a coincidence.
