Hikers and bikers will enjoy the many paths in the northern parts of the Greensboro area. There is a network of paved greenways, watershed trails and park trails, most of which are multiple-use (both biking and hiking.) Bike trails are located in and around Country Park, Bur-Mil Park and Hagan Stone Park. There are connecting trails to allow mountain bikers to wind around both Lake Brandt and Higgins Lake. Expert mountain bikers and BMXers will find a series of wooded trails and jump courses within Country Park.

For those visiting without bikes, Bur-Mil Park loans single speed cruisers to those 13 and older, for use on paved trails. Bikes and helmets are available at the wildlife education center building, and maps of the various trails are available there as well. One of the more popular rides for visitors is a 6 mile round trip on a connecting paved trail between Bur-Mill Park and the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park, where riders can visit the various markers along the Guilford Battleground driving route.
