Greensboro Fringe Festival is a popular festival in Greensboro. It is a well attended annual celebration of the theater, dance and music arts, featuring locally produced live entertainment. In early May, the Piedmont Blues Preservation Society presents their Carolina Blues Festival, a one day blues festival featuring national, regional, and local blues artists. The annual festival is held in downtown Greensboro at Festival Park. As an added bonus to the hot blues under the big tent, there is a kids' area hosted by the Music Academy of North Carolina, with additional entertainment and games. From June to August, Eastern Musical Festival features more than 100 concerts performed by national and international musicians. A truly international event, the festival include a Classic, Philharmonic, Great Performers, Young Artists, Chamber Music and EMFfringe series. The arts and crafts that are an essential part of Greensboro and North Carolina heritage feature two festivals: the Spring Show in April and the Christmas Classic in November.
