When in Alaska, look for souvenirs in the supermarket!  Safeway had Alaska socks for $3.00 and good quality tees for $6.99 and discounted Alaska books.  The exact same socks sold for $5 to $8 everywhere else.   Fred Meyer also had bargains, such as $3 caps!  Try the supermarket before buying elsewhere.

The 4th Street Market & Festival was fun and had some unique items but no bargains.  Be sure to barter if you shop here.
