- 1369 - With locations in Central Square and Inman Square - 1369 is Cambridge. The friendy staff, tasty pastries and wifi make it a perfect stop before you start your day or for an afternoon or evening recharge.j
- Mariposa - Also in Central Square, Mariposa has homemade scones in ecclectic flavor combinations, like banana ginger. Their healthy lunches are also worth a visit.
- Cafe Paradiso - With an Italian flare, the pastries and gelato they serve are equally tempting
- Peet's Coffee - While technically a chain, Pete's feels like your local coffee shop and makes a very strong brew.

- Greenhouse Coffee Shop - One of the institutionsdiner of Harvard Square that hasn't been replaced with a chain store
- Zoe's - Serving breakfast all day (along with other dishes for lunch and dinner too) - Zoe's has every breakfast item you could ever want on the menu
