Atlanta has a lot of free or inexpensive activities to make your experience affordable.

  • Check out AtlanTIX, the same-day, half price ticket booths at  Underground Atlanta and Lenox Square. Find half-price theater tickets as well as tickets to attractions like Zoo Atlanta, Atlanta Botanical Garden and the High Museum of Art.
  • Take a walking tour of Atlanta’s neighborhoods and historic sites with the Atlanta Preservation Center.
  • The Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site is free and open to the public daily.  
  • Atlanta Braves tickets at Turner Field are available for $1 for standing room only and $5 for seats. 
  • Stone Mountain Park is  just $8 per car to enter and includes the Lasershow.
  • On the first Thursday of each month, Turner First Thursdays is a free downtown art walk.
  • Enjoy  Downtown Atlanta during SunTrust Lunch on Broad.  Every Friday during summer, Broad Street has live music from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.   
  • Centennial Olympic Park has free special events:  Wednesday Wind Down is each Wednesday evening during the summer months and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon-1 p.m., enjoy Music at Noon.
  • Screen on the Green: Every Thursday in June, Turner Classic Movies shows a free movie at Piedmont Park.  Show starts at sunset; bring a chair and pack a picnic.  Wednesdays in June & July, there is a similar (free!) program on  5th Street
