When visiting Atlanta, one should definately take time to visit SweetWater Brewery in Midtown. First and foremost, SweetWater is not a bar, but they offer one of the best happy hour festivites in town. Wednesday's, Thursday's, and Friday's SweetWater opens their doors to the public for tastings and tours. For 2 hours (5:30-7:30p) and $8.00 visitors get a complimentary pint glass to keep, options to go on tours which last around 20 minutes, and the opportunity to taste 6 beers. If you can't make it during the week, SweetWater also holds tastings on Saturday's from 2:30p - 4:30p.

On Friday's they have a live band and the atmosphere is pretty laid back. SweetWater is pet friendly as many visitors did bring their four legged friends. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about the brewery and the beers, which makes trying some of their racy brews even more exciting. You have to have a little bit of an open mind when ordering their beers, with names like Motor Boat, Wet Dream, Georgia Brown and Happy Ending, if you can't laugh at it, well, this might not be the place for you.
