Things to do in Glasbury-on-Wye... well it's a small town (if you can call it a town!) in the Brecon Beacons in Wales.

Kayaking or canoeing along the river Wye is a good activity if the weather is good. Wye Valley Canoes will let you hire a canoe or kayak for a 5 mile trip from £20 per person or 10 mile trip along the river. 5 miles should take just over 2 hours, but if you do a 10 mile trip it's recommendable to take a canoe and a picnic and stop along the way. Make sure you wear foot wear which can get wet as if you go at a time of year where the river is low, you may run aground and need to get out to get moving again! Wye Valley Canoes now hire mountain bikes and Vespa scooter to explore the surrounding area.

Shepherds Ice Cream parlour in near by Hay-on-wye is another good place to visit for Sheep's milk ice cream in a variety of flavours.

Brecon isn't far and you can visit the cathedral and sit in the beer garden at the Castle Hotel which has a beautiful view of the brecon hillside.

There are stables which offer pony treks and horse riding. Tregoyd Stables offers a half day trek for £25 per person which is nice but if you're not an accomplished rider it can get a bit boring plodding along the country lanes at a slow pace.
