The Witch Dungeon Museum has been educating and entertaining visitors for over 30 years. It gives a close look at what it was like to be imprisoned during the Salem Witch Hysteria of 1692, with a to-scale replica of the original dungeon.
Guests will be greeted by their guide, who will present them with background information pertaining to the reenactment they are about to see. Then, two actresses act in a scene that was crafted from the original transcripts from Elizabeth Proctor's pre-trials.
One actress portrays Elizabeth Proctor, the accused.
The other portrays Mary Warren, bond-servant and young friend of Elizabeth Proctor, who is accusing her mistress of witchcraft for the second time.
After the scene concludes, the guide escorts you to the replicated dungeon where she will elaborate on the horrific conditions the accused lived in.
