Anchor Bar is known for its wings, but good wings can be found at almost any pizza place. La Nova also has excellent wings. (The wing festival on Labor Day weekend has wings from all over the country)! If you crave Italian, there are places all over the city with Chef's offering excellent food. If you have a craving for pizza, go anywhere where there is a crowd. There are so many places in Buffalo that pizza is available at. Beef on weck is a popular food that many people outside of the Buffalo area do not know about. Beef on weck is roast beef dipped in juice on a kimmelwick (salted) roll. Try it at Schwabels . Being Northerners, people may not think bbq when they come to Buffalo, but Buffalo has some good bbq. Fat Bob's serves up some good bbq. Cafe 59 and Betty's may be trendy both have a vegetarian spin and serve excellent meat dishes too! In Buffalo, you can seldom go wrong if you ASK THE LOCALS!
