The old-timers call this the "10 mile drive." While it's new name over the decades has become "Ocean Drive" this roadway is literally 10 miles of spectacular wide-open views of the Atlantic Ocean and miles of magnificent million-dollar mansions.
In this historic part of Newport, this roadway first leads you down Bellview Avenue. There you will find mansions such as "The Breakers" and "The Rose Cliff" among many others. Continuing South on Bellview Avenue, the roadway then winds down closer to Newport's waterfront and to the most elite private properties. Passing Gooseberry Beach, onward, you will come to Brenton Point Park. With many places to park your car and walk along its rocky shoreline, this place has majestic views of the Atlantic Ocean.
