Rent a bike from the ElectroBike shop in Punta Limones by the ferry port, or a traditional bike from Hubs & Tubs in CC Papagayo behind Dorada Beach. This will give you excellent opportunities to see Playa Blanca at it's best. You can go from the stunning Papagayo beaches in the eastern part of the resort, all the way along past the Lighthouse at Faro park. The roads are reasonably flat, so it's not too strenuous. For those who fancy more of an adventure, you can cycle up to Femes... but this is a testing route, and not for the light hearted.

The markets are on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the Rubicon Marina, and also on the same days at Burki's, which is on the road between the town centre, and Femes. On Fridays since January 2009, a new market opened at Punta Limones too - similar goods to the other 2 markets, but a slightly smaller scale. The markets are predominantly supplying gifts, leather goods, aloe vera products and an array of sunglasses and handbags.

A small Golf links course is next to Kikoland in the grounds of the Princess Yaiza hotel. This is easily accessible from the promenade. Also in Kikoland are various activities for the youngsters, such as the Lanzarote Soccer School, and tennis.

Ten pin bowling is available upstairs in the shopping centre situated behind the Rubicon Marina.

Dive with Dive College Lanzarote next to Natura Palace Hotel... or with the Dive School located at the Marina Rubicon.

At the harbour, take a day trip to Corralejo, Fuerteventura, by grabbing a ferry from either Fred Olsen or Armas.

Submarine trips are available at the harbour, as are various boat and fishing excursions. Stalls are at the ferry to book these, or via Last Minute Travel opposite the taxi rank in the centre of town.

Right next to the taxi rank is a children's playground with climbing equipment.

The church is next to the Children's playground. It is a Catholic church - however the Anglican church shares it for their Sunday services, and for some special occasions too.

Climb Montaña Roja. You can drive almost to the top... and then walk the edge of the crater. Lots of photographic opportunities up there. Avoid when windy though, for safety.

Just outside of Playa Blanca is a great route round past the Salinas del Janubio, Los Hervideros, and on towards El Golfo with it's famous green lagoon.
