Casa Cervantes

The Casa Cervantes is located in the Calle San Francisco and it was where Miguel de Cervantes stayed when he visited Velez-Malaga as a tax collector for the crown. The facade has the Gothic style and inside there is a beautiful square patio with a two floor gallery with three arches on each side. There is a small fountain in the middle of the patio. The pillars on which the arches rest are made of brick. The house dates from the 16th century.
