We have just had a lovely week away staying in The Smithy. On arrival the house was warm and welcoming, with not only tea, coffee and milk in the fridge, but also an Easter Egg and a nice bottle of wine on the side! The Smithy is cosy but clean, comfortable and very well equipped - iron, DVDs, games, tennis rackets etc. The highlight for the children was the pool which is warm and well maintained. The children's outdoor play equipment looks fairly new and, together with plenty of space to run around, amused them well when the weather was kind enough for them to play out. The grounds of the holiday village were well maintained.
There are many things to do in the local area, and after a week we felt we had only scratched the surface of what was on offer. The coastline is beautiful and Folly Farm well worth a visit (although be aware that the fair ground rides are extra); the Heatherton World of Adventure also went down well.
