Our apartment in Triora in the medieval Palazzo Borelli, the lower parts of which were built in 1200, was a wonderful experience. We stayed in the Palace Cloisters, a mere 600 years old, which was beautifully and eclectically furnished. The views from the enclosed terrace of the Maritime Alps and over the Argentine Valley were spectacular. The apartment was spotless and extremely well fitted out. The bathroom was pure luxury with a huge walk-in shower, toilet and bidet. The bedroom was huge with a large comfortable bed and views from the window over the valley. Carl and Veronica are the extremely friendly and helpful but discreet owners of the Palazzo. It is a testament to their commitment that parts of the Palazzo have been so beautifully renovated while retaining the medieval influences.
