We stayed at Lenno Fronte Lago which is situated, literally, one minute from the Lenno ferry port. Our apartment was a small, one-bedroom. It was cute and clean. There are always a few quirks, such as only one burner on the stove worked. That is just the way it is and you adjust. Also, had a cold shower the first time as the water heater was not turned on. Overall, we really enjoyed the apartment.
Lenno is much quieter than some of the other ports. Because of that, we got a feel for the "real" Italy. There are several restaurants and, while we didn't visit every one, the ones we did visit were lovely. Tuesday morning is the Lenno Farmers' Market which is terrific.
I would suggest a 6-day pass for the ferry system, if you are staying that long. Because the port was so close, we did a lot of hopping on and visiting other towns around the lake.
