A spacious one bedroom old stone cottage converted from the original stables (sleeps 2). Skelton Cottage is named after Reverend Skelton the clergyman who originally built Grove House in the 19th Century. The cottage has great views over the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. This cottage is very popular with steam train enthusiasts so book well in advance.

We had a great time cycling the Moors from this house, though the starts from the bottom of the valley were always challengeingly steep...
Also breakfast with steamtrains in the backyard was an experience we'll remember dearly...

5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Stayed here exactly 2 yrs ago so knew that it was of high quality. It was even better than the last time as a power pump had been fitted to the shower so the only issue from our last stay was sorted. Fully recommended to anyone who likes peace and quiet with the moors on your doorstep. Free wifi, free logs for the fire or chimenea, great all round. We don't have a dog but if you do even he/she is welcome. more
