Surrounded by beauty. Set amongst a countryside of limestone scarps and herbaceous shrubs (wild thyme everywhere) we enjoyed daily strolls around the village, through farms and past ruins. Excursions included historic Carcassonne with its excellent markets, and fresh seafood on the Mediterranean Coast only an hour and a half drive away. I found villagers really friendly and patient with my language difficulty.
My favorite indulgence was close to home- the exquisite pastries and bread delivered through the village every morning, heaven!
