Le Chenaiserie is a wonderfully renovated house, full of character but clean , comfortable and spacious .
There was only 3 of use so we did not have access to the top floor but all the rooms we used were lovely. Pretty much everything you need is there , but if you are used to accessing the internet then there is no wifi. There is no DVD player, but the satellite TV has a huge range of English channels .
The gardens are a wonderful mix of flowers, woodland, lawns and gravel areas. There was an amazing array of butterflies, along with other less pretty insects. The only downside of outside was that the veranda was awkward to access.
Although the house is quite remote, there are several villages with conveniences within short driving distances. There are plenty of areas to explore on foot, not least the atmospheric sunken lanes that can be entered via a gate in the side garden.
