Our group of 3 adults and 2 children (boys, 9+11) stayed at Quilhaut for 2 weeks over September - October 2013. We were also joined by some other friends (adult couple) for part of trhe time who were holidaying in France.
I can't reccomend Quilhaut highly enough - and Vincent's attention to his guests' comfort - starting with a call on the night we arrived, to find out if everything was OK and that we had settled in. The hamlet is beautiful, and the nearby town of Sauveterre de Bearn is a great place to wander through. The house quickly felt like home. Our boys loved it - the swimming pool, the river for swims, the lanes to wander around and the large grounds around the house were just what they needed. The vistas from the upstairs windows are impressive - the Pyrenees, the nearby hills, the sound of the river and the fields around.
As for the adults - the house just makes you want to relax. As for practicalities, the house is equipped with everything... more
