We enjoyed our stay at La Hacienda. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped with just about everything you could want while on holiday. It was upstairs which did not bother us but it did give us a poolside view, The pool was mostly quiet but did get busy with mainly Spanish visitors at the weekends (it was July). There were loungers on our balcony but none around the pool. If you were on the ground floor you could carry yours in but we didn't bother.
Costa del Silencio is a much more pleasant area than we expected and it was easy enough to avoid the English bars & restaurants. We ate at several places that looked very ordinary but served tasty food at good prices.
Close by is Ten-Bel which IS a dump & to be avoided. Then there is Las Galletas also within walking distance. It has a much more Spanish feel (if you ignore the English restaurants on the seafront) with I suspect literally hundreds of bars and cafes. We tried a few and we amazed at... more
