We stayed at Number 1 over October half term. It is a spacious house and was very nicely decorated and well equipped. It also had a nice variety of books that you could borrow. The house was beautfully warm although the log fire wasn't operational, which was a shame. It is conveniently situated for the lake (a three minute walk) and the town is very close, with There is no garden, just a tiny sitting area outside the front. The town was very quiet at this time of year, especially at night.
The one thing I would say is that the master bedroom in the attic, although very beautiful, has lots of beams so you need to watch your head. Also, the bathroom for this and one of the other bedrooms is not separate from the bedroom, but an integral part of it so it wasn't as private as it could have been. However, these things did not detract from our stay and I would certainly recommend it highly. more
