My family and I have been renting villas/houses for over 30 years and found Le Presbytere to be among the very best. The house and grounds are magnificent, Mr. Bappel's attention to details are great and the countryside is very special.

Our last night was also made very special when we had dinner at the local inn and the owner/chef serenaded the patrons with his accordion.

The total experience will lead us to return to Le Presbytere.

The directions provided could have been better, there is another Nadaillac (not de-Rouge, our mistake) enroute from Bordeaux where we went first. We arrived later in the day on a Saturday and just about missed the housekeeper who had the key for us, I'm not sure what would have happened if she had given up on us for the day and gone home but we dodged that one.
After our brief tour and orientation (all en francais as she did not speak any English, good thing our 7 year old is in French Immersion back home) we were left to our own devices to figure out things like the oven, washer/dryer, etc. None of which are anything like our appliances in Canada. Not a big deal but some written directions would be good.
Mr. Bappel did call that evening and gave us some additional information but he does not live in the area so if you need help from someone physically at the house you probably want to know some French.
