There is no disputing this cottage is in a wonderful location dogs loved it straight out onto the wonderful sandy beach, but unfortunately that is all it has going for it. The overall cleanliness of the place left a lot to be desired it looked like it had just had a wipe round with an oily rag the bathroom and toilet especially so we felt the place needed a good deep clean also if you hate spiders avoid this cottage there are loads and yes I realise this is a 300 year old thatched cottage. There was also a major hazard in the garden that could lead to potential problems with children or dogs in that there are 2 plastic manhole covers one which is loose and I happened to trip over it exposing water.
We where very disappointed to find there was no dvd player ( we had bought some in case of bad weather) there was just an ancient video player that didn't work, and in this day and age for what a dvd player costs! Also I have seen better tvs in the skip it is that old and half the...

I stayed at the cottage for a week in September. It´s right on the beach and although it was quite cold when we arrived, we soon got it cosy with electrical heaters in every room. The best thing was the absolute quiet and darkness at night which meant we had a great sleep. Having come from Spain where the noise and light pollution is terrible, it was a real relief. Just up the road you have the Curracloe Hotel with a great restaurant open 7 days. Its only a 5 minute drive to Wexford Town. The beach is one of the best in Ireland and we spent the mornings walking off the big meals! You need a car as there´s no public transport around.
