    The Old Dairy is located in East Knighton Lane off the A352 between Wool and Dorchester. From the west (approximately eight miles out of Dorchester) continue on past the Red Lion pub and turn first right after the ‘Gulf’ garage onto East Knighton Lane. The Old Dairy is the fourth property on the right approximately 100 yards along the lane. The Old Dairy is clearly marked by a steel ‘five bar’ gate and sign. From the east, East Knighton Lane is the first left turning as you enter East Knighton.

    The main London-Weymouth line stops regularly at Wool, which is 1.5 miles from The Old Dairy. Taxis are normally available at the station or can be booked ahead – Garrison Cabs Tel. 01929 463395 .

The Old Dairy is a fantastic choice. Cottage itself - beautiful and also containing everything you could possibly need. Very secluded. Wonderful views and even friendly local sheep and chickens! Great shower facilities and luxurious bedding. Location - beautiful part of the world. Secluded location but also close to key amenities (for example a local and well appointed post office).... more

The first week of our four week visit to the UK was spent here at The Old Dairy in the heart of Thomas Hardy country. We found that it set the bar impossibly high for any subsequent accommodation and it remains the highlight of a wonderful holiday. What a superb building, the use of so much glass and oak make you feel the sun is shining on the cloudiest of days.
