Holiday Rental House
Coral Sands Beach House is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath home directly on a secluded ocean beach on Green Turtle Cay. If you have seven or eight persons in your group the house also offers a one bedroom studio apartment on the ground floor which is available to rent as a 4th bedroom and 3rd bathroom at an additional cost. The studio will not be rented separately.
There are two master bedrooms with views of the ocean, both have king beds and the third bedroom is furnished with twin beds (with an option to convert to a king). The house is designed with a complete modern kitchen, washer and dryer, satellite TV with a DVD player, wi-fi, and more.
The great room has two double French doors that are 8 feet high opening onto the front porch providing a breathtaking view of the beach and ocean...

Coral Sands is in a very Special Place
Our thoughts and prayers are still with the lovely people of Green Turtle Cay as they recover and rebuild their homes and community after the devastation HD wrought upon this tiny Cay.
Especially Julie, and her family, of Island Property Management. She looks after Coral Sands Beach House for John, the owner, and by extension, whoever's staying at his home. She went above and beyond for us, patiently waiting for us at Bensen's Dock after our flight to Marsh Harbour was delayed and then after a variety of other things that went wrong there that meant we arrived much later to GTC than planned. And then, because our luggage didn't arrive with us at MHH, she literally went the extra mile/s the next day arranging for someone to pick it up at MHH, drive it to the Green Turtle Cay Ferry, boat it over to GTC, and then delivered it to us at Coral Sands. Reinforcing the sage travel advice, to always always pack your bathing suit and other assorted useful things in your carry on, that prior to this trip I didn't follow.
Not only was Julie waiting for us with a smile, there were fresh flowers and a lovely loaf of coconut bread on the counter which, along with the kahlua a previous guest left (thank you! we made sure to pay it forward) was our supper as we arrived too late to eat at any of the restaurants.
John was excellent to deal with, from our initial contact by email and then phone, as we booked through his website, and certainly is very trustworthy. There could've been an element of danger sending someone, who was essentially a stranger, the cheque (for the full payment of our week long stay) through the mail, before our trip....and he was especially helpful upon arrival at NAS when it was clear things weren't going to go as planned, acting as our go between with Julie and Lesley (of Seaside Cart Rentals).
His home is beautiful, set in the perfect location, right in the middle of the island, easy to go in whatever direction you wanted, always nice to get back "home" at the end of the day. Loved waking up to such a beautiful view from the bedroom, which only got better walking out into the living areas, with windows on all 3 sides, the ocean right there, sparkling in the sun. It's clear John's home is loved, the decor, attention to detail, their efforts at making their guests comfortable, created a very happy, welcoming energy. There's more than enough towels, the kitchen is well stocked, the bathrooms are large, as are the bedrooms - and while we were only 2 people, with the other 2 bedrooms and size of the living areas, adding in a couple more 2's would leave everyone with more than enough space. The beach out front is long, great for walks, and while I had visions of floating in the ocean out front, the waves that week were much too big, a far away weather disturbance making what is usually the right kind of floating environment not the right kind. In any case, it was still very pretty to look at and suggested we should return when the weather might be better...
It is heartwarming and awe-inspiring seeing the recovery and rebuilding efforts of the GTC community. While we were there we got the sense it was a very special place, one we knew would be neat to belong to. The resiliency, tenacity, and commitment shown to each other and their community before, during and after the destruction proves it; we can learn from their experiences and actions and emulate in our own communities. A tall order indeed. We stand with them, from far away, BahamasStrong.

Perfect House Perfect Location
This House is in the best location on Green Turtle Cay. We have been coming to GTC for the past 5 years and know all the beaches. This beach is sheltered by an offshore reef and Cay and is the most beautiful location on the island. The kids love the coral reef and tidal pools and enjoy being directly on the beach. The house is one of the most spacious on the island and has all the necessities. John the owner was very helpful and responsive. We love Bita Bay and have made many family memories here. The island is a friendly place and totally safe.....what a great feeling. The island has lots of great places to eat and plenty of grocery stores on the island. We rented a boat for a few days which is great for exploring the nearby cays. We really loved Coral Sands and would highly recommend it for families or groups.

Beautiful house and location
The view was breathtaking. Impressive snorkeling right in front of the house. Lobsters, turtles etc. The house is really nice. We had a large group so we rented Bananaquit also which is right behind Coral sands. John is very helpful and had a taxi waiting for us when we landed. The ferry takes you right over to Benson dock and the property manager was waiting to take us to the house. The island is clean and safe. We rented boats for the week to spearfish, snorkel and explore. You can take the boats over to see the pigs. We had dinner and drinks at Pineapples. It is outside seating only. Great food and strong drinks! We also had dinner at Harvey's which was great and the waitress
was so sweet. We had a lot of trips to the
ice cream parlor. You need golfcarts. We had an amazing time and we will be back soon!

Cant' say enough good things
We are so pleased with our vacation to Green Turtle Cay, and especially with our decision to stay at Coral Sands Beach House. We picked Coral Sands based on it's location (easy access to the whole island) and my conversation with John, the owner. He was so helpful in every way, and we felt totally comfortable sending him a personal check, ( common practice for the VRBO rentals in the Bahamas).
Upon arrival to the house, we were in awe of the spectacular views from the 3 decks/porches surrounding the beach side the house. Also, the small deck in back for the grill is great, because it was sheltered from the wind when we were cooking. As far as cooking at the house- which we did frequently (6 of us stayed together and 3 of us are avid foodies) you will have most things you need to get a variety of dishes nicely prepared. From utensils and pots and pans to dish towels and trash bags, this house comes with it all.
The bedrooms are perfect- awesome stand up shower in the master, and access one of the screened in porches. We kept the door open most nights to listen to the ocean and get a wonderful breeze. The house has central A/C, though, so if you are there in warmer months, don't worry about the comfort level.
Great open living area, and with 6 of us, we were comfortable lounging on the decks any time of day/night, or in the spacious living room/kitchen/dining area. We didn't watch much TV, but access to HBO is nice too if the weather doesn't permit outside activities. There's a variety of games and puzzles available also that were fun to play after returning from a night out in the settlement- and several rum punches or goombay smashes.
The island itself is great. We were immediately welcomed in by all of the locals and had a great time at several beach parties in the evenings. Tranquil Turtle offers an awesome view and food- you can jump off the dock here too into a quiet ocean if dare, Pineapples had fantastic local musicians and the Green Turtle club has very friendly and outgoing staff. Food across the island was awesome and don't miss Violet at Miss Emily's Blue Bee Bar for a Goombay Smash-the original and best (in our opinion).
We spear fished for lobster and caught conch with some of the locals as well -which made great conch fritters and salad, but if you aren't as adventurous, Eddie Bodie makes great food right on the dock- ask about the conch eye (and some other conch parts too) if you are really daring!!!
CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!!!!

Additional nights can be added before Christmas week of after New Years week at the standard rate
