    A lovingly cared for Lodge set on a hill side with views of the Sutherland mountains and glen below. Close to Dornoch and its famous golf course, the Lodge has easy access to sandy beaches, fishing lochs, birdwatching and walking. Inverness and Loch Ness are within easy reach. John o' Groats is 90 minutes away and Orkney is an exciting day trip.
    This Scandinavian style lodge sleeps up to 4 people (+ baby) in one double and one twin bedroom. All beds have duvets and electric blankets. In the sitting room you will find 2 sofas plus digital satellite TV/DVD/radio. From the comfort of your sofa you can relax and watch the birds feeding on your private balcony or swooping in the glen below.     Which ever way you come, the scenery is stunning so allow plenty of time.As you go North from Inverness the roads become quieter.Travel over the Black Isle where you may spot seals basking in the Cromarty Firth. Stop at the Storehouse of Foulis to stock up on local delicacies. Keep travelling north looking our for the world famous distilleries along the way - Dalmore and Glenmorangie. Remember to fill up with fuel before you cross the beautiful Dornoch Firth Bridge and continue North until you reach The Mound. From here you will travel inland through Pittentrail and up into the hills. Don't worry - we are always there to greet our guests and make sure you find the Lodge and we will send you detailed instructions when you book.

We stayed in early August 2014 for one week and had a great time. The lodges are spotless, very comfortable, have everything you need and have the most stunning view across the glen to far beyond. With the lodge having fantastic views, perched on the hillside, we found it to be the perfect base to explore the northern highlands.
