    Our spacious home is located close to Commercial Drive in a hip, transit-accessible, walkable, yet quiet neighbourhood, with convenient access to Downtown. There are three levels in the home (the basement is occupied by tenants). You will have access to the main and top levels of the home. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stainless steel fridge, gas stove, microwave, and dish washer. Feel free to make yourself at home and use any anything you find in the cupboards and fridge.

    The second bedroom has lots of flexibility. It can accommodate an adult and/or a infant, or 2 adults. It currently has a crib in it, which can be converted into a toddler's bed if necessary. This was a newer home in a quiet residential neighborhood. Although there was not much to do in the near vicinity in terms of shopping, eating or site-seeing, there was very easy public transportation within a couple of blocks' walk. A 15-minute bus ride, and we were in the heart of the city. We wanted not to have to deal with a car and came into town via the Amtrac Station from Seattle. Iona gave us clear instructions on how to get to her house from there. The house was clean, the keys were easily located. The only criticism I might have is that it was a little cluttered for my taste. I am something of a minimalist so perhaps this wouldn't bother most people. Other than that it was a very pleasant stay. I also thought it was a good value considering that we would have had to rent two separate hotel rooms otherwise. I would recommend it to someone with similar needs. Lots of stairs so probably not the best for older travelers or people with physical handicaps. more

To clarify, there are two large grocery stores within a 5 minute walk, and there are many restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. There are also numerous boutique stores, restaurants, cafes and pubs along Commercial Drive, which is a 15 minute walk away. We are a very tidy family even though we have a young child. Overall, it was a nice and safe house with clean bedrooms, kitchen and washrooms. We enjoyed the stay very much, as it was near to commercial dr and was easily accessible. It could have been perfect if the master bedroom's washroom had a fan in it :) more

There is a fan in the bathroom attached to the master bedroom. The switch for it is an automatic timer switch, and it is located next to the bathroom's light switch. more
