from the outset we had problems making contact with a keyholder. we felt we took a risk taking an evening train to Hampton Court but finally after numerous trys we got someone. A man was waiting at the property with his car engine running as if we'd kept him waiting - more or less threw the keys at us - didn't seem to know anything re the alarm system or anything. once he'd driven off as quickly as he could we discovered the front door wouldn't close...this problem happened time and again - my husband had to slam and shove and eventually manage to get it closed. however on our last night - just about to meet family for dinner it just would not lock. fortunately on this occasion the caretaker was there with her father and took over, letting us get away but with the concern that the flat was unsecured. no doubt this had been a long standing problem which really should have been dealt with before we arrived.
