The property is set in lush open countryside near the charming hamlet of Calwich. The property is a beautifully restored single storey self-contained wing of the owner's detached home which offers comfortable ground floor accommodation. The cottage is stylishly decorated, with a light and airy open plan living space, bedroom and is very well presented, including a bright and airy open plan living area, tranquil bedroom and little front patio room which you can look at beautiful river and countryside views. The property is the ideal base from which to explore some great walks and cycling trails, or to amble around Ashbourne’s eclectic antique shops and cobblestoned streets.

Amenities: Heating from electric storage heaters with additional heating from electric fire in sitting area. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, colour TV, video player, DVD player, radio/CD player etc. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Front patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. Cot and highchair available on request. Ample off road parking. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop & pub 10 minutes walk. Note: The owner runs a small caravan site within her grounds, approx 200 metres from River View. Note: The patio area which leads to the property is accessed by 6 ascending steps.

Region: If you want to venture out of the immediate area, head for the natural beauty of the Dove and Manifold Valleys or Carsington Water. The famous family theme park, Alton Towers, is about 20 minute's drive away. Calwich is the ideal holiday destination at any time of year for a relaxing and enjoyable break.

Town: Calwich is a tiny hamlet near to the old market town of Ashbourne with its higgledy-piggledy streets, cobblestoned alleys and traditional old inns. Calwich is located at the southern tip of the Peak District National Park with its spectacular natural landscape and walking and cycling trails. Ashbourne offers wonderful little antique shops, and a range of great places to eat.

Rate Info: All bookings are subject to an additional £34.00 booking fee. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
