    Holiday Rental House –
    4 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, Sleeps 8
What a location! The Old Bakery is situated on one of the oldest streets in the centre of the bustling town of Dartmouth.

Orginally dating from around 1600, The Old Bakery is a Grade II Listed three storey townhouse steeped in history. This stunning house has recently been refurbished to the highest of standards whilst keeping the original charm and character. The original bread oven, which is believed to have been abandoned in the early 20th Century, has also been retained as an attractive feature.

The property offers sunny accommodation and is very comfortably furnished with a clean and neutral decor scheme. On the ground floor is the family kitchen and lounge with granite flooring throughout. There are four bedrooms, all spacious and very tastefully decorated, which inclu...

5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2014 for a stay in November 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Bakery. The building itself (Grade II listed) is full of character - even retaining the old bread oven in the kitchen - and has been thoughtfully furnished, with nice touches such as rope bannisters and a lovely wood burner in the lounge.

There is ample sleeping space. My favourite room was the double room with the en suite and mezzanine floor above. It's ideal for a young family.

The location is great. It's right in the centre of Dartmouth, nestled between the rambling cottages on cobbled streets and opposite a pretty church. It's perfectly placed to explore the many quirky pubs/restaurants and delightful shops Dartmouth has to offer. We did some crabbing off the pier and took a boat to Dittisham for a great pub lunch and a walk back through the Long Wood to the Higher Ferry.

We will definitely return, thank you!
