Ground floor flat situated in a regeneration area between the city centre and Royal William Yard. On a bus route but easily walkable to both locations. The apartment rooms are of a good size but have been carpeted in cream showing the stains of previous visitors. The bed and sofa are comfortable and all the fittings are of good quality and working. There is a small outside area facing south but it is next to the road and therefore fairly noisy and not at all private. The week we stayed was sunny and warm which caused the rooms to become extremely hot during the day. There are no curtains to draw to block the light in either room. There are no small windows for ventilation either so you are left with the choice of using the tilt and lock function of the bedroom patio door to keep cool. This makes it difficult to sleep due to the road noise (perhaps some fans could be provided). Would we go back? Probably not but if the weather had not been so warm it may have been a comfortable break. more

The flat is close to the Continental Ferry terminal and within easy walking distance of most city centre attractions. Plymouth Pavilions is just round the corner. The flat is basically two rooms, a comfortable bedroom and a kitchen/livingroom with access to a terrace, (but as it is on the ground floor, so near the pavement I wouldn't expect to be using it much.) It is secure, with secure parking and a very helpful building manager in case of queries. Finding it as a stranger can be tricky, as only the new A-Z maps will have the streets listed, but head for the Contenental Ferry terminal, past the entrance and you should find it OK. There are two similar blocks, and Phoenix Quay is furthest from the Ferry terminal entrance. Do not confuse Phoenix Quay with Phoenix Wharf which is a stretch of coast on the opposite side of the city! more
