1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 2
Situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Upper Slaughter is one of England's most unspoilt and picturesque villages. With stunning architecture and the River Eye flowing between honey coloured stone cottages and grand houses, this peaceful hamlet is as good as it gets!

In the heart of the village, hidden behind the walls of a former dairy farm is Buckle Barn, a beautiful listed Cotswold-stone cottage offering luxury accommodation for two. Accessed by a private drive and set within a courtyard of two similar privately owned properties, it's perfect for a couple seeking a peaceful country retreat.

There's fantastic walks right from the doorstep and an abundance of glorious undulating countryside to take in. Nearby are the Cotswold towns of Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden and Burfor...

I'm allergic to feathers and they went to a lot of trouble to replace feather pillows and duvet. The owner was away but her mother was nearby and very helpful. We... more

This is a well appointed cottage situated in a fairly central position within easy driving distance to most of the attractions. Don't let the single track roads put you off I hardly met another vehicle throughout our stay. Only one disappointment, the promise of dressing gowns and slippers (listed within the description) did not materialize. Coco informed us that they... more

Management response:

Dear guests, thank you very much for your review. Many, many apologies again about towelling dressing gowns and we did hope that the bottle of wine we gave you would have made up for the misunderstanding. There are 2 towels per person so I hope they afforded some cover when you got out of the shower but we do understand... more

We spent four days and five nights at Buckle Barn and were very sorry to leave. Upon arrival we found fresh eggs and other essentials, which was a thoughtful touch. The cottage was immaculate, extremely well-appointed and very comfortable. There is a delightful little garden where one can sit and enjoy a peaceful breakfast. In the living room there is... more
