Our first impression was "Wow". It is right on Ambleside high street, raised up high, with views over the church and surrounding areas. The apartment is beautiful and bigger than expected. My boyfriend and I visit Ambleside every year and we decided to go for a self catering base instead of a hotel/B&B so we had more freedom and were not tied to breakfast times. This apartment has an excellent location, great kitchen and big bedroom. We were disappointed as we weren't able to use the open fire as advertised. And...

Just to clarify a couple of points; the "Windows" on the towels refer to the name of another property and not "window towels", the open fire is able to be used and is regularly used by guests, the pillow protectors are laundered but it has already been replaced. more
