    This spacious pleasant modern dormer bungalow, double glazed throughout, with views of Fairfield through picture windows in the lounge and principal bedroom is ideally situated only a few minutes walk from the centre of Ambleside. It is situated well away from the road and has the benefit of its own lawned garden with a large adjacent enclosed woodland area, ideal for children to play safely away from noise and traffic. There is gas central heating downstairs, storage heaters upstairs (electricity and gas included in price).

    Railway: Windermere: 6.0 km
    Ferry: Heysham: 70.0 km
    From the south:Turn off M6 at junction 36 and take A591 towards Kendal, but continue on past Windermere to Ambleside. When approaching Ambleside do not fork left at the Waterhead traffic lights, but continue straight on along the main road and you will pass Hayes Garden Centre. Shortly afterwards you have to turn left into Wansfell road (one way) by the BP garage. Just after the Catholic church on the left find a private road on the right within 50 yards of the BP garage. Turn right here and drive down to the white garage you see at the bottom end of the private road. Birch End is on the right.

    From the north: Turn off M6 at junction 40, A66 to Keswick, take B5322 through St John in the Vale, join A591 past Thirlmere and bypass Grasmere. Follow one way system south through Ambleside, bu...

I had a lovely first visit to Ambleside and was very impressed with this comfortable bungalow. It was very well equiped and clean. The heating was even timed to come on making it very homely and cosy when we got home in the afternoons. It was only a few minutes walk to the main centre of Ambleside. A lovely, spacious , well equipped dormer bungalow with fantastic views especially from the large lounge window, We stayed with our two children so the upstairs was ideal for us sharing the twin and double, The downstairs bathroom and bedrooms were ideal for my elderly parents (with limited mobility) and sister. We stayed here for a long weekend. The location is ideal, right in the centre of Ambleside but not overlooked. Great views of the area from the large windows, all appliances you would need and nice large bedrooms.
