In an idyllic riverside setting beside tumbling Torver Beck, the apartments are full of character and retain many original features such as exposed stone walls and beams, whilst ensuring comfort and warmth after the day's activities.
    A grassy lane alongside the beck leads to a large wooded field - a great place for children's games and a haven for dogs - and then on to the secluded waterfront.

Lovely spot for a short break close to the shores of Coniston lake and only a 5-10 drive to Coniston. Equipped with most things that you would need. Only slight draw back is the second bedroom which is separate and has it own entrance. When we visited it must have been recently painted and the smell was very strong, also the brook nearby is lovely but a bit noisy when trying to get to sleep. more

Reviewing this quite late as I hadn't realised this property was on Tripadvisor.

Stayed for a week back in September 2012 as part of two couples and two dogs. Location was beautiful. Going for a run along Coniston in the morning felt like heaven.

Cottage was well equipped and cosy. Rooms were well maintained. I liked that we were set well back from the road, made it feel nice and safe from the dogs. We visit the Lakes quite often and I certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Thank you for your kind words. Since taking over ownership of Robin at end 2012 we have made all sorts of improvements, so I hope you'll come back to see them. Lighting and heating both upgraded, new drains and ventilation system added meaning no more damp and no more saniflos! more
