It was dark when we arrived, but lights were on inside and out, the heating was turned up high, the log fire was ready to light, and there was a bottle of wine in the fridge for us to enjoy on New Year's Eve. An hour later we had unpacked, the fire was blazing, my wife was relaxing in the... more

We are so happy to have found this lovely cottage. The views are just amazing, and even though we were there in October we sat out on the terrace most days just loving the sounds of the steam that runs under the house, watching the birds and the occasional red squirrel on the nuts, We enjoying the sun that this... more

The cottage is in a lovely, peaceful location and extremely well positioned for walks around the gorgeous countryside. However the narrow gravelled track to reach it is not for the faint hearted and we were particularly concerned that our new 5mth old car might get scratched. Thank you very much for your review. Guests have always been able to use the free wifi at nearby White Moss House, but from April 2014 was are happy to say that free unlimted WiFi will be now also be available at Brockstone Cottage. more
